Inner U12 players shine at The 2012 London Youth Games

Last weekend some of our Inner London squad competed for their London Boroughs in The 2012 London Youth Games Cricket Year 8 & under Cricket competition.

All 33 Boroughs competed over the two days at Harrow Leisure Centre. Each Borough was drawn into a Group, usually of 4 and only one team would progress to The Finals Day at Lords on 11th March.

The following boys played :-

Will Bates for Southwark
Henry Howeld for Lambeth
Jack Hunter- Lees for Wandsworth

Lambeth and Wandsworth played on Saturday and Southwark on Sunday. Unfortunately this year none of the teams made it to the final 8. Southwark were closest only losing their group on a EBC Net run rate for the whole day's play by 0.05 runs to Islington ! So they probably came 9th in the competition.

A great experience was had by all and hopefully some new skills and awareness gained.

Very proud of you all - Well done boys ...
